Repeat Prescriptions
Requests for repeat prescriptions are to be made by ticking the required medications on the right hand side of your last prescription and then:
- Post the prescription in the request box situated on the counter in the surgery.
- Posting it to the surgery (if a sae is enclosed we will return it to you)
- Faxing to the surgery on 0151 643 8891
Note: To prevent errors we do not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a continuous supply of medication; therefore all requests should be made a few days in advance. We aim to have your prescription ready for collection as follows:
Due to increasing amounts of prescription requests routine repeat prescriptions now require a minimum of 24hrs notice.
Urgent prescriptions will be issued on the same day at the discretion of the doctors.
From time to time you will be asked to see the doctor or practice nurse to review your medication.
If you take medication on a regular basis you may wish to take advantage of the free service offered by the local chemists. They will collect your prescription from the surgery and deliver to your door.
